"This hotel is very well situated - just a short block from a water bus stop and an easy walk to San Marco square. The room we had was small but comfortable. The building is old so getting to and from the room was a little convoluted, but we figured it out. The breakfast was very nice. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. "Gorgeous hotel. The reviews are (thankfully) right - there's a huge amount of attention to detail here, and the staff are lovely and friendly. The rooftop bar has to have one of the best views of Venice, and was a particular hightlight, though our room was wonderful too - we were upgraded to a junior suite (joint big birthday!) with 4 large picture windows looking out over the lagoon, and its own walk in wardrobe. They also have a lovley garden - if you can, definitely ask at reception for a taxi service to the staion or airport - they'll pick you up from their little dock and it's the best way to leave the city."
