"close walk to public transportation and only one stop from central station. quiet area, grocery stores nearby, clean, spacious and safe. would recommend for solo travellers who don’t want a typical hostel stay, larger and more private rooms for families. note the locker in the bunks are fit for a carry on only but a backpack/duffle can comfortably fit in the bed with you. would recommend to anyone and will be here again! "

"We loved the friendliness and relaxed atmosphere of Mr Jordaan. The canal-side setting is peaceful and beautiful, just a few minutes walk from bars and cafes. The room had everything we needed for our 3 night stay and the staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful at all times. A cool hotel, we loved it! "

"What a great hotel. Quirky in a prefect location. The staff could not do enough for you it was a pleasure to be there . We recently stayed in London hotels with the usual arrogance but we felt comfortable and . Clean friendly professional, my son had his 9th birthday and they gave him a hand written card , some chocolate and sweets. Highly recommended them"

"I liked how convenient it is to travel to Amsterdam Centraal Station from the hotel with the metro, as well as the option to rent bicycles (although I did not use it as I can't navigate the city well yet without my phone). The staff and services were helpful and friendly. Only gripe is the area outside of the hotel which can be too quiet and dark to see properly sometimes, however it is still safe and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. "

"Our check in and room were great. The convenience of the shuttle was good as well. We were tired and hungry, so the sports bar was available for food……allegedly. We received our coffee order, but the person who took our food order apparently didn’t bother to send it to the kitchen. After not only waiting way too long, but also being ignored by the staff, we paid for our coffee and decided to try the buffet that just opened. "We stayed here for just one night before moving to an AirBnB with my family. The hotel is not far from the train station, so it’s easy to get to. We got an upgrade so our room and the bathroom are quite spacious. What I like best is that our room and the hotel in general is very clean. The staff is nice and attentive, and they gave us a warm welcome. I wished we stayed here longer, and we definitely will stay here again the next time we travel to Amsterdam. "
