"I chose the King with balcony and plaza view. The photo on Expedia showed a balcony with a table and two chairs on a walkout balcony. The only reason I chose this hotel was for that. When I entered the room and opened the patio door there was a massive spider web with a large spider in the doorway and no walkout balcony. I texted the concierge to let her know and she said she would move my room. She was kind enough, but she put me back into the same style of room which was even worse because it looked like someone use the bathroom on the carpet. There was still no balcony to walk out on still no chairs or table. So I called the one 800 number for IHG and she informed me that that hotel indeed did not have walk out balconies. I informed her that that was misleading because on Expedia, their picture shows that they do. When I got back to the hotel, I asked one of the guests about it and he said that he had a room with two chair and table and a walkout balcony. I then got in my car. I drove out to the intersection made a left and I looked back up at the hotel and I see a half the hotel is a section of rooms facing the plaza with walkout balconies with a table and two chairs. Aside from the balcony, the hotel needs some repairs and cleanup. I know it’s an old building but it hasn’t been maintained very well. I have always wanted to stay at The Intercontinental, but what a disappointment. "

"This location was perfect for my short business trip. The hotel had quirky fun energy and my room was very clean with bed and linens led to a very restful sleep. There were good in-room and shared spaces for working (& strong WiFi), and pleasant amenities (range of for-purchase snacks and complimentary Nespresso/cookie in lobby and complimentary water and chocolate in-room). With both Filling Station Coffee and Union on the Hill (had a delightful dinner with live local music!) essentially across the street, all my needs were met. As others have noted, parking is a little tight in the official spots. Also, be sure to look for the email confirmation process outside of Hotels.com booking — I missed mine. Even though the staff sorted it swiftly, it would certainly be easier to have all the door codes, your room assignment, etc., before you arrived. My not finishing the separate confirmation process led to my only slightly negative surprise: I was on the second floor with only stairs as an option. They were not steep stairs, but I had event supplies in tow that I preferred not to leave in my car overnight. (If I had managed that confirmation process before, I suspect I’d have known about the stairs and could have planned better.) I look forward to staying again!"

"The hotel was soooo hot! The air was off in our room when we walked in...and it did not cool down in our room until around 3 am! The halls were hot and just walking down the hall we would sweat. Breakfast was minimal...bland powdered eggs, a gallon of milk that everyone poured out of into their cereal, and a loaf of white bread that the guests would put their hand into to get their bread. The dining area was tiny and everyone bumped into people trying to get around and it was extremely hot in that area as well at 8 am. There were no napkins and when I asked for one, I was told they did not have any more."
