"It is advertised as a hotel, with the pictures focused on the front of the building, but it is an extended-stay motel. It is dirty, has thin walls, shady characters, and gave us the creeps. The couch felt sticky, and the bed was thin and loud. We could hear the neighbors tv right through our shared door with them. Standing in the room, we felt like we had to whisper so we wouldn't be overheard. We left without staying the night."

"The stay at the hotel was wonderful. The staff was very polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean and in walking distance to a lot of venues and eating places. We will definitely stay at the Gilmore again. Gilmore Hotel made our stay in Nashville a wonderful experience."

"This hotel is centrally, located in Midtown in a very safe, clean upscale area. We love the setup of the rooms. It’s actually one of our favorite rooms we have ever had in a hotel. They really provide everything you need and were super helpful for us for things we forgot. You could walk to Broadway, but it is a little far. In our opinion we took an Uber back-and-forth which ran about seven or eight dollars per trip. We will definitely stay here again."

"We ended up not staying at this property. The room I booked online was nothing like the room when I actually got there. I asked to have a room that was like the one I chose on line & they said those were all taken. So the room I thought I was getting should've not shown available or been able to be selected for an option. I drove 4 hrs to get there for the night. They couldn't accommodate me in any way, so I had no choice but find something else. I called Expedia to get a refund since the property said they could give it to me, but its been over a week, and I still do not have my refund."

"The mattress was sagging, there were bedbugs, there were no towels, and they never provided a trash bag. They charge a $120 deposit—which they never mention beforehand—plus an additional $140 for parking for four nights. The ceiling was cracked; the place is poorly maintained. The elevator takes forever and smells foul, and during all four nights of my stay, people were screaming and fighting in the hallways at 3:00 a.m.—drunken individuals shouting and making a scene. It was a horrible experience, especially considering the cost; it leaves a great deal to be desired."
