"We arrived at about 730pm and were greeted by a very sweet receptionist. Our room was clean and quiet, with an incredibly comfortable king size bed! As it was summer, we were also provided a portable fan in the room, should it become too warm. We had a great dinner at the Feathers Pub and a swift check out in the morning. Highly recommend staying here!"

"We stayed in the main building where is obvious it is under renovation, (should probably be disclosed when booking). The room was spacious with a lovely big bed, issue was it was nearly 30° when we stayed and there was no air con in the room just a dusty tower fan and a window that only opened a jar. Also the lighting in the room is poor, I had to put a flash light over the 1 full length mirror to do my make up to go out. When we arrived at the hotel check in was easy enough but it is at 4pm...

"It’s an ideal location for what I needed it for but sadly the cleanliness & tiredness of the room let it down. The floor didn’t seem to have been hoovered and the bathroom floor was not clean. In general everything in the room needs some attention (peeling paint, dust, edge of wardrobe door strip hanging off etc.). Dirty cups/glasses not removed/ cleaned when staying more than 1 night but bed is made. Also, the room suffers from the cooking smells of fried food. Unfortunately I will not be...

"This hotel is basically student accommodation, running and shouting down the hall ways around midnight. Eventually moved room after initially being told hotel was full to then be told "my bad" we have another room."

"The Green Man is a lovely place to stay, nicely decorated and clean, comfortable rooms. The beer garden is an added gem in the summer months. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Our only complaint was that there were insufficient staff in the bar and restaurant to cope with high demand at the weekend. I however would definitely recommend the Green Man and will look forward to my next stay."

"The hotel itself is in a good location and staff friendly and helpful but the aircon is broken constantly and when asked (as many other guests did too) the reply from staff was that it’s just temporarily broken down. However they did reply later to other guest suggesting it will be likely repaired in September) yeah when the weather cools down. The lobby is air conditioned but the room upstairs all of them are incredibly uncomfortably hot. It’s strange because in summer many other Holidays Inn...

"Decent hotel, not as close to Stanstead as initially expected, but there is a very handy regular shuttle bus to and from the airport. Only downside is that the rooms are very noisy, you can definitely hear what sounded like planes taking off well in to the night."

"First room I was issued was very dated and filthy. Stains up the walls and all round in poor condition. I was moved to another room after complaining which was much better, however starting to show its age. Staff however really need to learn how to smile. Unfriendly vibes from all but one team member."
