The apartment itself was lovely, but the management experience left something to be desired, particularly around communication.
I arrived in Tulsa around 8 p.m. and went straight to dinner with friends. When I tried checking in around midnight, I couldn't access th apartment. That's when I discovered my reservation had been moved to a different building. Management said they'd called, but I'd been traveling all day and no voicemail was left. Customer service then had to investigate what happened and provided some incorrect entry instructions. After a long travel day, it was frustrating.
Before my stay, I'd also received multiple calls simply to review property rules I'd already read and acknowledged online. It felt excessive.
During my stay, I agreed to a maintenance visit after being told cleaners had identified an issue. The maintenance person arrived while I was showering, and I learned the issue was toilet seats in both bathrooms. That seemed like something that could have waited until checkout.
To their credit, management apologized and offered a small refund, which I appreciated. The replacement apartment was also very nice.
Routine information doesn't require repeated phone calls, while something as important as changing someone's reservation deserves a text, email, and voicemail. I generally prefer a hands-off experience, where communication is limited but meaningful.
