It's location must be it's selling point. Lovely seaviews & sunset watching point. Great to hear the waves from our room. Burger meal in restaurant and breakfast roll good. Easy, available car parking on site. Pleasant staff. Definitely not a 4*, more like a nice 3*. Such a shame re the tatty paintwork from room doorways and corridors to include outside. Looks a bit tired in places generally. Tiny room, tiny shower. Mattress, work boots, empty cardboard box all left in the corridor outside rooms for whole duration of our stay. Expensive room only price.

The hotel is a little bit tired in places, and some of the furniture needs replacing in the dining area. But our room was lovely, very comfy bed and a beautiful view of the sea. The location in Downderry is spectacular and all of the staff were friendly and accommodating and worked really hard on a very busy bank holiday weekend. Definitely worth a visit !

Amazing place!

Had a really lovely few days at The Inn on the Shore. Such a wonderful hotel! All staff were really lovely, nothing was too much trouble especially Dave, Ke & Sahrya. Dave gave us lots of ideas of places to visit. Food was always delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone!!
