It focuses on customer service (which usually has more impact than just sounding angry): ⸻ I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Ramada by Wyndham Houston Intercontinental Airport. I accidentally booked this location thinking it was near the airport I was flying out of, but I was actually departing from William P. Hobby Airport, not George Bush Intercontinental Airport. As soon as I realized the mistake, I immediately contacted both the hotel and Hotels.com multiple times to request a cancellation. Despite explaining that it was an honest mistake and reaching out right away, they refused to approve the cancellation or provide a refund. There was no flexibility, no understanding, and no willingness to help resolve the situation. I understand policies exist, but customer service should also involve compassion and reasonable discretion, especially when a guest reaches out immediately. This experience left me feeling frustrated and unheard. I would strongly encourage future travelers to double-check airport locations before booking — and to be aware that in situations like mine, there may be no flexibility or support. "

"Staff were welcoming and most helpful. Shuttle from and to the airport was a bit chaotic, but worked. Room was wanting, desk light did not work, 3 hangers only, carpet/baseboard pulled away from walls in several places. Thought we could use couch for sleeping space, but no bedding provided. "

"A warm musty scent hit me as soon as I opened the door to my room. The room furniture seems not to have been updated since the 1990s. The carpet in my room felt very uncomfortable to me, I spread out clean towels and walked on them instead, and the furniture was overly large, dark, and oppressive. The bathroom has also not been updated. I have an allergy that gets exacerbated by poor air quality, and this allergy was set off overnight at the hotel. I had a nonrefundable stay for three nights, but left after one night. The staff were just great!!—a high point—absolutely up to the Hyatt Regency standard. But the overall ambience definitely was not up to the Hyatt Regency standard. I wonder how this hotel name could be on this hotel. The goldfish in the lobby were a fun, cool feature. But I will never stay here again. The self-parking was dark and kind of scary. There was a security car part-time at the self-parking, but it disappeared later in the evening. I don’t spend money on a hotel to feel less comfortable than I do at my own home. I was truly disappointed. "
