"Staff very friendly! Spend the extra money for the onsen in the room and for the buffet dinner! They are both worth every penny! We can’t wait to go back. The only downside was the bed/futon and bean pillows. The bed and pillow was uncomfortable and my husband didn’t like the futon and he sleeps on the floor every night. The “Las Vegas” was ok but many machines were down. Loved the pipe organ!!"

Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture. Room peaceful and quiet with great views of mountain side and lake. Recommend 4th floor if possible. 403 was a great room and lots of amenities (e.g., cups, tea pot, robes, phone plugs, etc.). Osen. bath 1st floor was very clean too. Bikes available. Parking for rental cars. Small gift shop and vending machines with food options. Must get breakfast and dinner option. The food and service is excellent. "
