"Fantastic!! We had such a wonderful time the two nights we stayed at Hotel Scala and wish we stayed longer! We arrived our first night very late and were ravenous from our travels that day, the staff offered us dinner right after we got settled in at the restaurant on the property. We got wine and the spaghetti vongole, which was delicious. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cold which was lovely to come back to at the end of the day. The two men who ran the place were extremely helpful...

"This was the nicest place we stayed in Sicily. The staff was absolutely the friendliest and best. They gave us free complimentary breakfast each day. Make sure to ask for an ocean-view room with balcony - absolutely stunning vistas, and you can go out and swim in the crystal-clear warm blue waters or sun on the rocks. "Vi hade fyra fantastiska nätter på Lanterna Magiche. Läget är superbra, nära till badplatserna, stadskärnan och bra restauranger. Personalen är väldigt hjälpsam och hjälpte oss med aktivitetsbokningar och taxi och vi hade ett helt otroligt rum. Det finns många terrasser och balkonger som går bra att använda och AC:n på rummet var otroligt skön när dagarna blev ordentligt varma. "My husband & I stayed 2 nights in mid-May 2025. We loved this historic and fascinating B&B within a current convent (yes, we saw the nuns!). Comfortable 2nd floor room that opened onto a quiet, shared, shaded terrace. There’s also a ln upper terrace with seattle & sea views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Note: wifi was very unreliable. We parked our rental car at the Talete garage about 10 minutes walk, for €15 per 24 hrs. Overall, this was a great location for us in Ortigia."
