"The room was very clean and spacious, and had a good view being on the 6th floor. All staff we encountered were polite, helpful and friendly. Staff at reception were lovely, and service in the restaurant was great. Minor issue with trying to regulate the room temperature, and the TV channels are scrambled in a totally incomprehensible order-making no sense whatsoever! But minor quibbles over what was an excellent stay"

"It's a rare joy to find a hotel with in room controlled aircon. I'd rebook just for that! The hotel is a grand old place and parking is a nightmare. But it's well situated with a sea walk just yards from your door and a surprisingly quiet location close to town."

"We had a beach view room - truly one of the best views we’ve had at a hotel before. I stayed with my partner and our dog. It was a trip for my birthday - I put this on the booking and when we got to the room they had put out complementary drinks, snacks and a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written on it with chocolate with a few chocolate dipped strawberries and a red velvet cupcake - a lovely touch! Overall a lovely hotel. However two things to note - dogs aren't allowed in all rooms - I called...

"Really enjoyed the selection at breakfast. Was kindly upgraded to a deluxe room with the biggest shower I’ve ever seen! Comfy bed with nice linens etc. A lovely stay. "
