"I had a great stay , Rhe welcome from then staff and then the spa staff and restaurant staff were fantastic and so helpful, thanks so much . The spa has lots to choose from and the gym although small had everything you need . The food was delicious and lots of it and the restaurant is clean and light . my room was in character with then hotel , tasteful and clean , it was warm but the weathers been very hot so what I expected."

"Lovely hotel but they need drawers and a proper bedside table and also need to allow guests to change air-con in their room as it would only go to 16 degrees and was on a low fan so we were still hot in our room, this was during the heatwave! They need to make sure that housekeepers or people dealing with function rooms do not start hoovering at 8.15am!! As this woke us up. The staff were very helpful though and the hotel is lovely, bar has a happy hour and so nice cocktails and bar staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent location by train station convenient to centre."

"The hotel and the hotel staff were excellent. It was a really nice touch to be welcomed in reception with a cold drink on one of the hottest days the UK has seen. The hotel is in an ideal central location close to the railway station, shop and restaurants. The room was good everything working perfectly, really good big screen tv for the football My review would have scored the hotel much, much higher but my problem was the Gino D'Acampo restaurant attached to the hotel, this guy is supposed to be a top notch chef, he needs to do more than just put his name to an expensive restaurant. The food was dreadful: bland arancini with a back ground taste of cleaning fluid, carbonara pasta with curdled eggs, tomato and mozzarella salad with poor acidic tomatoes. Slow off hand service from the staff. On complaining about the food and the service, we were eventually given a reduction in the bill but honestly if a customer complains about the food and you don't even ask what was wrong with it! The Marriott need to part company with this restaurant."

"On arrival had a warm welcome from the staff who asked if we wanted drinks we said yes and that we had booked 2 rooms. We were given our drinks and they would bring the room keys to us in a few minutes. Young lady came over and asked if we would like to see the rooms, which I went with the young lady and shown the rooms. I rejoined my friends and told them the rooms were amazing and very clean. We all went to our rooms freshened up, met in bar and all said how well the Cherry Tree Inn is from the Staff welcome, the very high standard in the bar area, the beer garden area, toilets and then seeing the rooms was the Cherry 🍒 on the top. Will definitely look at staying here again and will and have already recommend to friends. Many thanks to the young staff members of the Cherry Tree Inn. Sorry didn't get all your names."
