"The reception for this hotel is up on the 7th floor, to make the most of it’s fabulous views & balcony space, which is a little strange when you first arrive, as it doesn’t look all that inviting from ground level! That said, the views up on the 7th are great & with the glass balconied terrace, as well as lofty mirrored seating areas around the bar (also breakfast area in the mornings), you can soak up the great views with a drink & very comfortable seating spaces. "Great location in Edinburgh. New hotel, well turned out. Rooms compact, but comfortable and have everything you need. Including small kitchen space. Has a bar downstairs, but missing gap is no breakfast area on site, although many choices nearby. Would definitely return."

"Place was gorgeous, modern, convenient, clean. Though listed as for 4 people, it was a bit awkward for 4 people: bathroom en suite to one room, so those on beds (pull-outs) in front room had to walk through the other room to the bathroom. And because light switches for bathroom are outside, anyone sleeping gets light in their eyes until the door is closed. And using the kitchenette was disturbing to those sleeping in front room. Would have liked a full size coffee maker as the nespresso...

"The stand out was the service. Friendly staff and excellent service. Room service was speedy and if you had breakfast included there was no extra charge. We had an issue with our TV and someone was there within 2 mins. The amenities in the bathroom smelt gorgeous. Loved the variety in the mini bar. Good size mugs for a cuppa. Only down side was the water pressure in the shower."

"Was going to write a reasonably balanced review but one that would reference a window that did not close resulting in a very disturbed night but I got such patronising response to my email that mild irritation has turned into annoyance bordering on anger. No excuse for poor maintenance and absolutely no excuse for taking such a patronising and irritating attitude when replying to a guest."
