Hotel Faubourg Montreal

10/10 Excellent

"Location was great. Old Montreal, St Catherine’s street, China Town, Eaton Place, tours, metro and bus were close. Loved the fact we could take the bus from the airport and back. Purchased an OPUS card which was great to access the bus and metro for the week. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Some information about walking directions were out of date. We were directed down a street under construction which resulted in a long detour rather than a closer street which would have been direct to old Montreal. Breakfast was great. A variety of hot and cold items, great bagels, 24 hour coffee and water cooler was very handy. We were in a suite. Air conditioning in the bedroom did not adequately cool the living room, but the suite was spacious. We appreciated the nonslip bathmat for the tub. A great addition. We appreciated the Keurig, the microwave and fridge. However, we expected a kitchen with supplies like pots or pans, a toaster etc. while paper plates and wooden cutlery were easily available the kitchen was not really useable. Overall we would suggest this hotel to others."

"Place d’Armes is perfectly located across the street from Notre Dame Cathedral in quaint and charming Old Montreal. The rooms were spacious with large showers and multiple jets. Luxurious toiletries of Le Labo that made the bathroom smell like a spa. Staff were friendly yet professional and had excellent customer service. There were three restaurants (French brasserie, modern Japanese and light Mediterranean cuisine) in the hotel that were reasonably priced with good food. Be sure to dine at Kyo as it is considered to be the top Japanese restaurant in Montreal. It is one of two hotels in Old Montreal with an onsite spa. Rainspa has a hamman and several treatment rooms for massages, facials and other body treatments. If you want a luxury city hotel that has everything - location, spacious rooms, great dining and onsite spa - book this hotel for your Montreal stay."

"Great location! What I liked was the grocery store located next to the hotel and Starbucks down below outside of the lobby. The adjacent door to the room next to ours , I could hear the people next door very clearly. We were on the 20th floor, got some great pics. The shower was great. Pleased with the facility and location."
