"We should have known there were going to be issues with this hotel as soon as we arrived. There was a police car in the parking lot on a call. The door to the room looked like it had been previously forced open/broken into. As soon as we walked into the room it immediately felt damp in the air. The sheets were moist to the touch and the room smelled badly. We tried to reach out immediately to the front desk to let them know we were not happy. The guy at the front desk was extremely rude and actually ended up hanging up on the phone on us. We stopped by the front desk to attempt to address the issues in person. He told us he needed to go look at the room with us. We went to the room together where he tried to argue that the damp/moist room and sheets were “normal” and “how they were supposed to be”. We tried nicely several times just requesting a refund so we could find a room at a different hotel. He fought us on this until he eventually agreed to refunding us only $20 of the full amount we paid. Never staying at this location or any other hotel under this name."
