"40 years ago, someone told me this was the best place to stay in Newport. I finally got here. It is a1700s house, well preserved and reflective of the period. There is a newer wing, but we stayed in the original house. Great atmosphere. We were served wonderful breakfasts, and delicious afternoon tea, all included in the roommate. For a unique experience, try it."

A minor maintenance item I want to call to their attention to for remedy is the bedside lighting in two of the three bedrooms did not work. Nor did the outlet in the headboard in the master. "
