"This hotel is such a little gem, and I have loved staying here twice now. The staff are lovely, the rooms are perfect and have everything you need and the location is amazing! I know people say it’s loud, but I had one of the rooms overlooking the main strip, and I had AC unit on the entire time and I heard nothing else outside. It was perfect!"

"Monique checked us in and was PHENOMENAL! She was professional, kind, and when I shared it was our anniversary, she congratulated us so genuinely. The entire staff, including the reservations manager were so kind. We stayed in the junior suite facing the water and it was incredibly beautiful - looked like a perfect postcard. There was a lighthouse and people doing yoga in the AM. It was a little hazy from the fires in Canada sadly, but the view still was gorgeous. The room was like an apartment! So pretty and well designed. The Lula in the dining room was kind and chatted with us at breakfast, my omelette was perfect. The price for extras (valet, breakfast) were a bit high, but convenient. The shuttle to town is a six minute ride and well worth it… no need to drive. We will def be going again!"

"Hotel front desk members were amazingly friendly and helpful with recommendations while in Newport and hospitality during our stay. Our room with a marina view was great. Things of note: a very comfortable bed, hot shower with good water pressure, plenty of usb outlets, blackout curtains, and plenty of space for both my husband and I to spread out our bags. Love the ease and convenience of valet parking with in and out privileges as parking is at a premium in Newport in July. The location, decor, and setting of the Hammetts Hotel makes for a delightful getaway. Looking forward to staying here again."

"When we vacationed in Newport, Rhode Island (July 2026) we stayed at the Town and Tide Inn for three days. The Inn, with only 12 rooms, was quiet and personal. The innkeepers were delightful and wonderful at making us feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are spaciously clean and beautifully appointed with a cottage beach vibe. The garden courtyard with the 24-hour coffee shed was our favorite early morning space. The gourmet breakfast served from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM was excellent. And finally, the single nicest feature of the town and tide is its location. If you can manage a 2-mile stroll you can reach the Mansions, the Cliff walk, the public beach, and the Wharf. This inn sits quite literally in the center of it all. We strongly recommend the Town and Tide Inn if you should have the opportunity to visit Newport."
