Our stay was over four nights. There was no breakfast as their restaurant had closed. I requested a foam pillow as I suffer from a severe allergy to down/feathers. I was told that the hotel did not have any. Throughout my extensive travels, I have never experienced this. One would expect the hotel to be more accommodating even to send a staff member out to buy a few pillows in order to protect their guests (This is not an uncommon allergy and can cause the throat to close.) The hotel needs updating. We were there two years ago and it has not been improved in any areas despite a great need to do so. The cleaning deserves kudos. The management was not helpful. I would not recommend this hotel.

The Clinton Hill Hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. I was expecting something more down-market, but the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels provided each time. The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful throughout my stay. The location is also a big plus — the bus to New York stops right outside the hotel and runs until 2am, so getting around was never an issue. Overall, an excellent and very pleasant stay.
