"The hotel it's small but super clean and well done. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom huge. The only thing is that is on a quiet neighborhood so it's like 20 minute walk to the canal and Nishiki market but still centric enough. Also, the futon sounds like a good idea until the second night and your hips are dying...just saying. It's not as easy as you think if you are 35 or older..."

"we stayed in the sea room with my wife and son. From what I see it's the one with the least amount of games, yet it was fantastic. we really loved the layout and the decor is perfect for a child. I can say with absolute certainty it was my son favorite hotel during our entire trip in Japan. he was delighted to sleep on a boat bed with Mr. Otopus and climbing up and down the boat chimney. "Hotel is modern and located right at a subway stop (4 stops or 7 minutes to Kyoto train Station). Walking distance to Imperial Palace and the gardens. Quick taxi or subway rides to other sites. We had a courtyard facing room which was very quiet. There are blackout drapes so the room stays dark in the morning. Room is modern with a nice shower and fairly comfortable beds. They provide umbrellas in the lobby that can be borrowed for rain days."

"We LOVED our stay at The Screen. The room was a wonderful size, beautifully decorated, with a sliding door separating the bed from the couch area. The staff was incredibly helpful and thoughtful- we felt like they personalized our stay with origami in the bedroom and a note on our breakfast platters the final day. The area was amazing! Close to the park and buses, only a 10 minute walk from the metro line, and 15 minutes from amazing shopping and dining options. 10/10 would stay there again!! "
