"Amazing location right on the front of Lake Kawaguchi. Our room had an amazing view of the lake and was walking distance to dining options, transportation, and convenience stores. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The hotel was a little older than other hotels I’ve stayed at during my stay in Japan but it was still clean. The rooms were spacious and even included a living area! Great for large groups traveling. Overall I highly recommend and most definitely will stay here again! "

"The location is great for fujikyu highland and is not too bad of a walk to the lake area. The onsen has a beautiful view of Fuju-san and was best enjoyed in the morning. The onsen is large enough for possibly 12 adults at a time and can feel a little cramped when busy. The amenities they provide and the quality of the facility are great! "

"We loved our stay at Rakuyu! The property is clean with a restful and calming ambience. The lobby/front lounge area is beautifully appointed, with the most amazing view of Lake Kawaguchiko, also shared by the rooms. The public onsen seemed like a really nice amenity, but we did not use it as we booked the private one, which was a lovely experience. In addition, the included breakfast, tea time, and cocktail hr offerings were amazing! The food and drinks were great, with a ton of variety. The location is very convenient; it is right next to the Panoramic Ropeway and a short walk into town. We arrived within the time the shuttle was not picking up from the train station and did have to trek uphill to get there ourselves, but it is definitely doable, if not the most pleasant in late June heat and humidity. We were able to take advantage of the ride back to the station on our way out, which was quick and convenient. In short, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend to others as well as come back ourselves!"

"Rooms were lovely and the views were incredible. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. We enjoyed the dining and activities on site immensely. A word of caution: the resort is a fair distance away from Kawaguchiko and it was difficult for us to find taxis consistently. So if you plan on staying primarily at the resort it’s not a problem but if you’re a “get out and about” type of traveler be prepared. "
