"The staff were incredibly helpful. One of them, in Picton before we got on the ferry, told us how to see the bioluminescence, which was fantastic. The young man who took us around to feed the animals and the marine biologist who told us about the marine life on the viewing platform were incredibly knowledgable. The room was pretty and we had a good view if we sat outside. We also loved the hammocks and the glow worms."

"Good kitchen staff but the room’s toilet was smelly. I vomited twice every time i went to the toilet, on the first night itself. The pungent smell was really strong. I called reception at 3 am wanted to change room but no one picked up. The next morning, i had to buy electric scented oil warmer to reduce the pungent smell. "

"Crisp white linens and towels, large rooms (2 bedroom, queen & two twins) living space and bath, great shower pressure, comfortable beds, pillows were a little thin, but serviceable. The motel accommodated a midnight arrival, no issues with getting access to our room. Staff friendly and helpful. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Escape to Picton. The welcome glass of wine and cheese was a lovely touch, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The room was spotless and very comfortable, the bathtub was a highlight, breakfast was very good, and the location was ideal. Would happily stay again."

"An outstanding property—we absolutely loved our stay. Michelle, Stefan (and Harvey) are exceptional hosts!! Our room, the James Cook Apartment, was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, and the grounds are simply stunning. The location is perfect, with an easy 15-minute walk to the main street. Breakfast was delicious and a real highlight. We can't wait to return!"
