"The Element is a great hotel for Reno. Their breakfast was amazing! The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The bar was fabulous as well. The hotel does a lot of little things for the guests which was appreciated such as a happy hour, water and coffee available anytime. The only draw back is the hotel is located on a busy street so it can be loud in the evening."

"The room was clean, it was extremely noisy. The door was paper-thin and had a huge crack on top. That we could stuff an entire hand towel into. We were put in the oldest wing of the hotel. It was drafty noisy. And dated. The gym facility was outstanding. To pay eight hundred dollars for 2 nights for this type of room is robbery."

"My husband booked this hotel because he thought it was cool that it was an older building and the rooms were only in the 2nd and 3rd floor above a bar & restaurant. The room looked cute- modern decor in an old building. I’m not a neat freak but I do inspect the room. We didn’t have any interaction with the housekeeping staff other than getting clean towels. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff was very accommodating. "Room was clean and the staff was very nice. No issues while we were staying there. We aren't casino people, but came for a volleyball tournament. We were pleasantly surprised at how well we slept. The rooms were really quiet, allowing for a decent night sleep after a long day. "

"Hard to get through to the front desk from my room. Waited for the shuttle for 45 mins. I called and was told the shuttle runs every 30 minutes. No one said that I had a call the shuttle service to tell them to come pick me up until after my second phone call 30 minutes later. "

"I did not feel safe staying here. The room smelled like stale cigarettes. There was not much left of a lumpy mattress. The walls were so thin I didn’t get much sleep. A homeless guy in a wheelchair was right outside my door when I left one time."

"The actual room was ok. Clean and with the amenities one would expect. But the hotel is situated in a seedy neighborhood. Outside the hotel there are enough homeless people with visible mental health problem roaming around - at some point one guy was emptying the trash right outside the hotel shouting various things. I think it gave my 14 y.o. daughter a renewed appreciation for where she lives. "
