"We chose this hotel because it is within walking distance to the Key Bank Arena. We were in Buffalo for the Journey Concert and it was so easy to walk to and from the hotel. The hotel itself was okay - strange entrance into the building which also housed other businesses and we had to lug our suitcases down the stairs to get to the check-in desk (from the parking lot). Very plain hotel, sterile. Check-in staff was great."

"If I could give the staff more than 5 stars, I would. Especially front desk (and especially especially the gentleman who did my check out). Friendly, personable, helpful, and so, so kind. Great ambassadors for the city! The location was perfect for my needs (we had to visit the U.S. Passport Office). The room & furnishings were a wee bit tired (furniture battered, rug could use refreshing, shower/tub could use updating), but it was clean, comfortable, and not terribly expensive."

"With vibes of the Overlook Hotel in "The Shining" this century old building has the look and feel of a dowager with art deco accents of a premier structure of the early 20th century. The Hotel occupies only the second floor of the building. The rooms are clean but maintenance is lacking, some fixtures were inoperative or loose. "Booked a suite, got a regular king...no big deal, just called down and they fixed it immediately awesome. Got into the suite had a view of the ventilation system of the building not of anything else no balcony no nothing. Ok I can get past all that after a long day of travel go to relax pop on some Netflix takes about 15min to sign in tv acting real slow. Shut it off turned it back on didnt get better but after about 20 min of loading a show just b started to play I said you know what its been a...

"The breakfast staff were extremely rude and disrespectful, failing to refill empty food items or adequately assist guests. When we asked for fruits and cupcakes, we were rudely told to arrive at 6:30 AM. Furthermore, only one person was making omelets, causing a 30-minute wait, and there was absolutely nowhere to sit"

"The major pros : location - steps from Allentown gay village . Free outdoor parking . Charming hotel reminds me of being in an old fashioned movie. If you want modern etc don’t book here but if you’re after charm go for it. This hotel is kind of like an old apartment building but it’s a place to sleep and recoup."
