"We had a fantastic week’s holiday in Sintra. The hotel was perfectly located for a stroll into town and easy access the great restaurants, cafes and the sights of Sintra. Brill ice cream from Mica’s just outside the hotel. Easy train ride to Lisbon and the beach for day trips. The staff were very helpful and excellent service in particular Joao. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast full of choice everyday ready for hikes and touring about. "

"Extremely friendly staff and owner made us feel like family. We weren't expecting the room to be serviced after the first night on a two night stay, but it was, unasked, including setting up a drying rack for the clothes we had washed and hung the night before. Clean self-service kitchen. Very charming. "

"Really comfortable hotel with beautiful views from the balcony. Our room (think it was Orange Blossom) was beautifully decorated and well provisioned. The honesty bar was a nice touch and very useful as there weren't any late night convenience stores that we found."

"LuXa Charm house is absolutely excellent value. Big rooms with en-suites, totally capturing Sintra’s style. Our room had window views to the moorish castle. The only issue is ordering Bolt Taxis or Ubers to the property, at peak times the taxi will not be allowed by the local authorities to stop outside the accommodation, so you will likely have to walk into town for that. Not a big issue at all. "

"We were skeptical when we saw it from the outside, but everything was amazing! Everything always looked and smelled clean, check-in was super easy and we had great privacy even though we chose the option with shared bathrooms. The bathrooms were also super clean and nice. Only thing is the kitchen doesn’t really have any utilities - like no cutting knives, grater, sift, blender. It makes it quite hard to cook anything. "What a magical place! It’s like you stepped back in time when you arrive at this Quinta, surrounded by lush gardens. The woman who owns it grew up there and has so many fascinating stories to share about the house. Although it’s down a narrow gravel road, it’s easily accessible by car, Uber, and even Uber eats if you decide to order in. "We loved the property! It was very close to everything: up the steps to Old Town Sintra and walkable to all of the sites. One night, a scrap of food was left on the table, and there were many ants the next morning. They seemed to be from the hallway baseboard, so be sure to put any open food in the refrigerator. Staff was informative and helpful. Overall, a great stay! "

"This is a truly beautiful property and would be perfect for a destination wedding or other gathering. The guest house is magnificently appointed. The grounds are beautiful. There’s a swimming, pool and tennis courts. The host of the guest house personally greeted us. We had breakfast made to order on the patio. "Awesome location. A bit of a walk from downtown Sintra but it had a big public parking lot right next door. We parked the car and walked downtown and to all of the castles. The room was extremely small but it was all we needed. Try "pasta de nata" frim the coffee shop next door......amazing!"
