El Mirador National Park

A 5 or 6 days tour takes you into the jungle of Guatemala.
The tours start from Flores where you take a car to Carmelita. From there it's a 5 or 6 days tour on foot. Every night you sleep at a different camp and you have the opportunity to explore different ancient ruins along the way.

There are a ton of different tour operators in Flores. Some more honest than others. So make sure to talk to a couple before you decide on one. It's worth choosing one where there is a guide and someone separate to cook and to look after the mules.
We went with Dinastia Kan "El Mirador" and were very very happy with our choice.
