"Room smelled like stale smoke, had requested a smoke free room… pool rules were not enforced by staff and kids/people were jumping into the water from places they shouldn’t have been… loud noises at night from appliances in the room… did not seem clean and did not feel like I could walk around in my room with no shoes on… breakfast was filling but they did seem to run out of things often…"
"Ice machine not working! After 10 days and 5 hotels, this is a common theme. It’s almost like the McDonalds ice cream machines.
The property was clean but the parking needs a serious refresh. Potholes and missing concrete. On the outside are red and blue lights that set a tone for the outside. From inside your room, those lights are annoying as the shades/curtains cannot block them out. The staff was friendly and courteous."
"Choose another hotel if you don't appreciate being charged twice. As far as interstate hotels go, It was fairly clean, but with obvious maintenance issues, such as clogged slow draining sink. Besides an old springy bed and flat useless old pillows, the charges to my credit card were my main issue. I paid in full in advance for my room through Hotels ca/Expedia. I checked out in the morning, no issues, and when looking at my credit card transactions later on, I noticed 2 pending La Quinta Inn charges on my statement. A pet fee, which I was expecting, and also the full amount for the room. Called the hotel to ask what was the reason, desk agent flat out said it's not there and I needed to call the manager. Funny she was the exact lady that handled my check in the night before. Why would a manager who wasn't there know more than me. Called La Quinta customer service directly and they were even more oblivious and didn't even know what amount is held on a card for incidentals. Regardless, after check out that amount should have been released. "
"First room assigned was still dirty, had to take kids and all our luggage back downstairs to get a new room assignment. Other people we traveled with had to wait 2 hours for their room to be ready"

"With it's waterpark pool, this is an ideal location for families with young children.
However, we are seniors, just looking for a quiet place to rest our heads after a 10-hour day of travel.
We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and parking was a nightmare!
The pool is visible from the lobby through the glass wall. It was jam packed with screaming kids! There were kids everywhere! They were running dripping wet through the lobby. Any thought of slipping quietly into the hot tub to relax after our long day were instantly dashed.
Also, the pool is not exclusively for hotel guests, local families can purchase a daily pool pass. This explains why the parking lot was so jammed upon our arrival.
Avoid staying here on a weekend if you are not travelling with children.
We tried to have a nap before dinner, but kids were running, crying and screaming up and down the halls.
