"Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"Have stayed at the hotel the last 4 years and have noticed a vast difference. Although room service is advertised, which you need to let reception know about beforehand, the housekeeper said that they would only supply what we needed eg. change towels, give sheets, tea, coffee , empty bins etc. The rooms are not cleaned daily as they used to or beds made up Also, me and my husband have always booked the Superior Double Room with 1 King size bed with seaview. "The rooms were upstairs from a skeavy pub. The pub was situated directly on a busy road. The room was hot and stuffy (no fan provided) so the window had to stay open. The traffic seemed to be roaring through my room. I had to beg for help carrying my bags up the stairs. English breakfast was offered but only with fried eggs (I can't digest fried food.). Coffee (no tea) was offered. I can't drink coffee. One of the worst places I stayed in the UK (& not cheap.)"
