"Everything was great. One drawback was food by the pool "Lava" got to be repetitive after a while, not a lot of variety, but we did stay for 9 nights. The other drawback was no microwaves in the rooms, which I guess could have been accommodated for an additional $10 a night, but should have been included."
"The Kaua'i Palms is a classic Hawaiian motel. The cottages are clean and well equipped, and the assigned parking space was a plus. Reenie welcomed us with Aloha and made sure we had everything we needed. Good value for dollar, and we'd stay there again."
"This place is amazing!! I will only stay here when I come back to this island. So peaceful and beautiful.. The staff is attentive. I would give it 10 stars!!!!!"
"This resort is much under construction & required much backtracking for us to get where we were going… it was ‘up this first elevator, then walk down a hall, around a couple corners to where a second elevator would then take us down to where we’d again be able to walk down a long hall & turn some corners (for us to get to the room) then for us to get to lobby or car, we’d reverse all those steps. As a disabled Veteran (with a TBI it was a bit confusing & not clearly marked. Even a map at elevators would have helped. Though complicated, this backtracking around the property was “manageable”.. it was the problematic stench caused by the construction that I had issue with.
At first I thought the 3-4 “Luxury Port-A-Potties” (all banked together) that sat directly in the drive thru/drop off section to check in & out and to gain access to the property were for construction workers but found out they are for lobby guests).
but the thing I found most disconcerting was realizing that the Outrigger empty’s and drain’s the 3-4 “Luxury Port a Potties”
The potty’s
directly in the actual “drive thru & drop off” loop section of the Lobby, Bellman & Store. With favorable winds blowing the horrific, stomach turning stench into the front desk/lobby area & the only on property ‘shopping hub’ area of the resort it was extremely unpleasant & the odor languished for quite a long time. "
"The room was clean but the property had clutter that needed to be cleaned up. My room had no issues, had no ocean view, the park and ocean view are a block away. I cooked on the barbeque and used the pavilion, that was great. The beach near the hotel has cloudy water from the river, a few miles down the road are perfect beaches."
