"Hotel is beautifully situated. Great view from our room! Staff are very attentive and helpful. Restaurant à la carte meals were excellent and one evening buffet was fairly good as well. Breakfasts were great. One wish is that there would have been a 24 hour lobby coffee bar to get early morning coffee (or a machine in the room). Staff in the breakfast room were very accommodating, but only available after 8am when the restaurant opened."

"The suite I was shown was nothing like the one that I reserved in the Expedia Web site. So the hotel suggested another suite that was more like the one that I saw in the Expedia Web site, However, they called it humorously the Presidential suite and charged me another 143 euros for our three night stay! "Just left from an amazing stay as Casa Penhas. An absolute treasure away from the city with majestic views of the mountains. We went on a guided hike, used their heated indoor pool and had a couple massage - all extremely well done and with the utmost customer service. Food was also delicious and plenty. They served an abundant buffet breakfast, snacks after our hike, and a top-notch dinner. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation with amazing views, this hotel is for you."
