I was treated like a criminal who broke in and stayed illegally. I had prepaid for a room and checked in at the front desk, giving my credit card for a deposit authorization, and my license for ID verification.
The manager arrived at my door the next morning with the cleaning staff, ready to key into my room, in spite of the fact that it was 3 hours prior to checkout time and I had the do not disturb on my door. I had to get up and get dressed while the manager waited outside my door. She was rather unfriendly as she said she had no records of me and I needed to tell her who I was. She left to go investigate.
I then received confirmation that I had been booked by her for another night at the hotel, paid with my visa. Calling the front desk to complain, she was rude and unapologetic. I’m leaving this hotel assuming I will need to dispute the charges on a second night I gave no authorization for, and certainly didn’t approve using my credit card.
I had stayed once before and it was perfect. Can’t say the same for this stay. Rude, unprofessional behavior by the manager completely ruined my stay. I was offered no compensation or even a warm demeanor.
