"Great location - walking distance to town centre for shops and restaurants and cafes - short drive to beach. Had a takeaway from the Thai restaurant - very good
Accommodation was very comfortable and hosts very friendly.
Breakfast was put out for us to help ourselves in the pottery shop each morning and was a good start to the day with fresh fruit and croissants.
Reliable WiFi we were able to watch Wimbledon with no problems.
All in all a delightful stay and would definitely stay again."

"The room was lovely, great location, there were plenty of options at breakfast. The staff were very friendly. Parking was easy and had electric charging which was a big plus. Would definitely recommend"
"Building and hotel were great. Very impressive. Staff were very helpful. Room was very clean and great services. Outdoor pool was very clean and warm with the weather. Breakfast seemed a bit unorganized. Bar was well stocked. Parking for guest was very limited and the parking lot was very small."
"Amazing, historic building with many original features such as a beautiful tiled hallway and original call bells in the corridor. However, the decor and soft furnishings are all a little tired and dated in the common areas and overdue for an upgrade.
We stayed in the Deluxe Double room with ocean view courtesy of the oriel window. Bed was comfortable, usual tea/coffee tray provided. A mini fridge would have been welcome; especially with the hot weather. Again, the curtains and furniture all looked a little dated. The room was large with lovely original features. It would not take much to make this a spectacular room to stay in.
Bath and toilet were clean, but the skirting boards had a film of dust.
Breakfast was not included but we paid £9 each to have a continental breakfast. The viennoiserie were all gone when we arrived. I would have expected a selection of ham and cheese. There were no meats on offer and the only cheese was some pre-packaged fingers of Double Gloucester. There was a selection of cereals, some yoghurt with various fruits, and some breads, crumpets and waffles on offer. All perfectly adequate for the price, but not exceptional.
The location is excellent. You can leave your car and walk for 5 mins to get to the prom. Its a 10-15min stroll to get to the pier and the boat trips.
Can recommend the Pier Head Reastaurant for fabulous seafood dinners."
"Lovely hotel (which we’ve been to a few times now)
Right on the lovely sandy beach m which is a big plus for us!
Free parking available (but must remember to enter your registration at reception)
Able to still use some Hotel facilities for the remainder of the day after 11am checkout.
Friendly and polite staff throughout.
Lift available
Good choice of buffet breakfast & good choice of drinks at the bar.
Upgraded to a larger room with living area - many thanks.
Unfortunately couldn’t get the living room window to open, but staff were very amenable and supplied us with a fan & mini fridge (it was a particularly hot time) - again “thank you”.
We will definitely be back soon."
"Upside:
SUPER friendly and helpful staff, nice bar. Good atmosphere. An amazing garden.
Great location - easy walk to the beach. Quiet, despite being central.
To manage your expectation:
- The hotel is very old with squeaky wooden floors under the carpet… the furniture is from ages ago, too. If you are after luxury, forget about it.
- The pool would be great in winter. For summer (particularly if there is a heatwave), it is way too warm!
CAUTION:
If you are booking one of the cheaper room options, call them and confirm your room will have a proper window."
