"The room we were staying, the decor was tired - not worthy of a 4 star hotel unfortunately. Upon arrival, wardrobe door was hanging off hinges, the wifi receiver box was hanging of the wall - room was also very dark. Pointed out wardrobe door to concierge and they had it fixed the next day, but should have been done before guest arrival - tables in hallway tired and peeling off. The staff was friendly though, especially in the breakfast room. Breakfast had a good choice."

"Overall experience ok, staff friendly but only one staff at the morning breakfast and have to wait for 20 mins just to order. Room was basic for Bannatyne standard. The standard double bed was very uncomfortable as it was combination of 2 beds joined together leaving the gap in the middle. Shower was flooded and toilet flush buttons not working properly. A bit dissappointed."

"Room was clean although decor was tired and in need of a refresh. We weren't informed at check in that we would be charged to use the spa facilities so unexpected cost of £7.00 each per day. Only 2 small pillows on bed, asked at reception for additional pillows and was handed them from the reception desk to take to room whilst trying to carry luggage. Not ideal. We didn't book for breakfast or eat in the hotel so I can't comment."

"Really friendly staff especially the staff on breakfast. Nice rooms. Downside for me was air con was noisy and was tricky to turn off. Still slept well though ."
