Lovely character hotel.

Staff are very friendly, food is very good and reasonably priced. The building is lovely and full of character, however the rooms are simply decorated. The location is excellent. Unfortunately, there were no parking spaces when we arrived in the afternoon so we had to park down the street, but parking is free in Long Melford so this wasn't a problem.

We had a nice, cosy and quiet night’s sleep. The room is lovely, the bathroom is a little dated. There are loads of delicious breakfast options. Not the hotel’s fault, but we mad major issues arranging a taxi to the event we were attending, so if you need a taxi I recommend booking well in advance rather than on the day. We used a taxi company called ‘The Firm’ and they were excellent, even though they couldn’t drop us off (and we had to take our car) they picked us up from the event and took us back in the morning to collect our car.

Nice cosy hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful . Had superior rooms over looking the street , they were very spacious with lovely comfortable bed and had everything needed for a stay . Breakfast was lovely with a good choice of food , good quality and tasty for the cost . Sunday roast lunch is lovely. Definitely recommend this hotel and looking forward to returning.

Had an issue where I had booked the wrong day and it was a sensitive time with travelling for a funeral. The hotel manager was very understanding and even upgraded my room and provided a hot breakfast also..Amazing customer service, room was clean and a good size, would come again.
