"We really enjoyed our stay here, the property was well equipped with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "Communication was lacking on this booking. I didn’t receive an email beforehand with details of how to obtain key to the property, after reaching out i did get it just in time for our arrival. The cottage was plenty big enough for 4 of us but we found that the cleanliness was not up to our standards. "Nice location - property is small and functional - car parking is a nightmare - bedroom is next to main road so is noisy when trying to sleep - bed comfy and having a fireplace was nice and cosy. Gardens and alleyway to street need sone tlc. "

"The house was lovely, spacious, clean and well stocked with anything you might need. It is in a tranquil village and has plentiful off-road parking. The garden has an excellent view and is so peaceful to sit in. There is a park 2 minutes down the lane, a football field, and if you continue down the lane, there is a pond and a lovely walk around it. Fantastic stay at The Grand, York

"A wonderful place to stay. Every member of staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and the hotel in general is open and spacious and very inviting and cosy. Superb location for the proximity to the train station and a very short walk to the shops, bars and restaurant's. The Roman Walls are just outside the hotel so very easy to be able to walk along the wall. Really looking forward to visitng again."
