10/10 Excellent

"We stayed one night in this hotel as we had a function in Leigh-on-Sea. The hotel looks like it’s been recently renovated. On arrival we were able to check in early and because it wasn’t full, park our car there. The room (No 5) on the first floor looked towards the estuary. No balcony which I knew when booking. The train Line is right in front of the hotel but didn’t disturb us. The room was very clean with all the usual amenities and air conditioning. The bathroom was spacious and ticked all the boxes. Unfortunately we didn’t eat there at night but the menu looks good. We paid for breakfast which was tasty - freshly squeezed orange juice, smashed avocado and poached egg, and flat white coffee. Check out was easy. Would definitely stay there again if we were in the area."

"Excellent breakfast with really attentive service, the hotel was so close to everything but also really quiet. It is not the most modern place but is clean, comfortable, perfect location and lovely owners/staff so is definitely worth the price. Would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel is in a good, central location and has free onsite parking. We had a twin room which had a compact bathroom with an excellent shower. There was an unusual noise (possibly from air conditioning) which went on all night and was mildly annoying (avoid Room 18 if you are a light sleeper). We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. Overall, a value for money stay and a convenient place to stay for Thorney Bay Beach parkrun."

"Staff, cleanliness and convenience location was on positive side where as on other side, parking is bit challenge as hotel doesn’t have its own parking space. Room doesn’t have air conditioning though fan was provided but room was super hot during the night during summer."
