"The hotel property is decent but aging. One of the dual sinks in my room’s bathroom was completely separated from its undermount. Air conditioning struggled to cool the room. The lighting on the appliances and outlets was very bright at night and no way to turn those off to get a dark room. The window blinds were broken and would only close 3/4 of the way.
After checkout I was charged for poolside bistro purchases I didn’t make. Still waiting to get those charges reversed. I tried to eat at the onsite restaurant (Crooked Antler) and it was absolutely terrible (seriously DO NOT eat there). And when I checked in I thought I had paid an “all fees included” price only to find I was also REQUIRED to pay for parking at a minimum additional $25 per night. If it’s not optional that should be in the “all fees included” price. Lastly the front desk staff was just not engaging or friendly. I was supposed to stay two nights but the hotel was not enjoyable so I left after the first night. Won’t be going back."
"Super cute little hotel in downtown steamboat. Loved the view and the location was so convenient. Will definitely be back once it’s warmer up here!!! Was bummed that the hot tub was broken when I visited, but hope to be able to enjoy it next time!!
Would stay again!!"
"Charged $12 for parking even though they are nowhere near anything and nobody would park there even if it was free (this was additional charge upon check-in). There was no hand soap/bar soap on my bathroom. Breakfast was pretty bad, and my expectations were not high. The room itself was as expected and no complaints there (good bed, good AC, mini fridge and microwave). I don’t expect a lot from La Quinta but I feel like this one underperformed. The parking fee was ridiculous to no honest."
"I've stayed here a number of times. It's an older property but the location and price made up for the outdated feel. But this time, no hot water was a deal breaker. On check in, I was informed to let the water run for "10 minutes or so. We're having issues." Colorado is on drought alert with mandatory water restrictions. Letting the water run for 20 minutes was awkward and was still too cold to shower.
While not monumental, the coffee urn in the lobby had cold (guessing yesterday's)coffee in it at 8:15 am. Is that really too early or too late for coffee?
The only staff member I saw on site was great!"
