"Perfectly located, staff are very accommodating, breakfast is ok for the price. The room is very clean, bed is very comfortable. Standard room is good for one person. "

"Huge room - we were in the suite. We only saw people as we arrived & as we left. You have access to the kitchen if you want to cook etc. Convenient for the station too (Gent St Peters) The stairs up to the suite are very steep and shallow which wasn’t ideal as we had large pieces of luggage. Not great for anyone with mobility issues either. Loved the bath and the space. We’d definitely stay again. "

"I don’t like to write a bad reviews for any business that’s why I put 5 starts, but obviously it is not a 5 start review. Everything was ok, staff was nice to me, the only problem is a smell, very bad smell, I asked to change the room and staff denied to change the room and told me there is no room available, but then I showed a mold on a sealing and that small was obviously from that mold, I couldn’t describe how bad was that smell. And only after that they found the room for me, very clean, no smell, and I was satisfied and happy. It’s only because I showed the mold and its very serious health/safety violation they don’t want to deal with Belgium health department "

"Amazing 4 night stay! Room was spacious, modern and exceptionally clean. Staff were welcoming at the front desk. Bar staff in the lobby were amazing! The young gentleman bartender from Brussels was hospitable and a great server! "

"Location a significant attraction. Short walk to restaurants and to many of the sites in the city centre, yet not overly busy right around the hotel. Easy to get to if you're driving. Parking about 100 metres away for 15 euros daily."

"We had a fabulous stay at the Carlton Hotel. The staff and the owner were friendly, easy going and very helpful. The room was spacious and the breakfasts were a delight. We'd have no hesitation going back to the Carlton if the opportunity arose."
