"Close to the airport but we were not aware of any noise from the planes. The hotel was clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly . There was a wide choice of hot and cold dishes for breakfast . Bar food was equally good and served quickly despite the number of people there . The beds were comfortable, the shower was a good strength and tea and coffee was available in the room."

"Clean and comfortable room with a very cosy bed. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and welcoming. It would have been helpful to be informed of the parking charges beforehand.
Dinner was average, although the service from the team was excellent. Breakfast was much better, with plenty of options available. The bar was a nice space, and it was great to have access to watch the World Cup games.
The swimming pool, sauna and steam room were all good, but the lockers were difficult to use and...

"Hi arrived around 2 30am, no-one was about , other than a guest waitfor towels for the room, whe we got to the room it had no toilet paper or towels, we had a drink, but again no spoons, the bed was very cheap and lumpy and hard. We had to sleep with the window open, because of the heat ,the road was very loud. The window had a broken safety catch, so a child could fall out, the bed was under the window, the room looked to have been made up to a third word standard, I think it's owners...

"The cricketers itself was very nice pub food was okay but nothing special, breakfast was good.
Our room (the best)was located in a converted bungalow over the road , on arrival i was handed rhe keys and told its over there!!

"There was no AC. being a listed building makes it hard to install AC. the room was so hot it was almost unbearable. One sash window could only open about 20cm at the bottom, as secondary double glazing had been installed it was not possible to open the top part. The other window only opened at the bottom but would not stay open so staff put a cushion there to keep it open. They gave us another fan which helped. "Really nice hotel. Room was really hot but it was a heat wave and probably not a problem most of the time. Staff were so friendly and helpful especially in the pub for dinner and breakfast. Easy access to train station and travel in to London. Was a nice place to stay outside of all the business. Easy access to Stansted airport too. Would definitely stay again."
