"Breakfast was pay as go despite expedia saying it was included. Parking was a surprise fee, additional, and quite high. Staff at check in and check out were rude, "busy" despite no other guests being present, didn’t even offer token courtesies. Beds were horribly uncomfortable, pillowcases were scratchy and starchy feeling, lights were confusing or didn’t work. "Big disappointment was that there was no hot breakfast bc of the Memorial Day holiday 🙄. The front desk staff both at night and in the morning were just about the friendliest I’ve seen, though. Gave us the sofa bed sheets and extra towels we needed for our group of six. We had a spacious, but dated, room. Importantly, the beds were comfortable and the pillows and bedding were clean and new."

"The mansion is a beautiful, historic treasure. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast plentiful and tasty, and the amenities were very nice. The proprietor generously shared her time talking about the history, the community, etc. Highly recommend for those who enjoy indulging in history and beauty during their stay."
