Unfortunately, our stay started off extremely poorly. Upon arrival, the front desk told us they could not find our reservation and claimed that Expedia never transferred it to them. This was especially frustrating given that it was the night before New Year’s Eve and we had just completed a 13-hour overnight red-eye flight.
After a long back-and-forth between Expedia and the hotel, they eventually found us a room—but it was not the room we booked. We had reserved a villa with a view and a kitchen; instead, we were placed in a much smaller room with no view and no kitchen. Expedia attempted to relocate us to another property, but it was significantly worse than where we already were, leaving us stuck.
The overall experience with the front desk staff was disappointing. They were rude, unhelpful, and lacked any sense of urgency or empathy given the situation.
Between the reservation issues, the downgrade in accommodations, and the poor customer service, I would not recommend this property, especially if you are booking during a busy travel period.
