"Just returned from 5 days at The Opal Sands. The resort is beautiful located right on the Gulf beach with its pure white sand and light green ocean plus a pool with many chairs and umbrellas. The inside is stunning with its decor, staff always friendly and willing to help with anything. Our room was large with living area, eating area, very well attained. Can't say enough about it, it's restaurant was also top notch. Stay here for sure!!"

"For what we paid $4,400 for 2 rooms 4 nights and have NOTHING included is ridiculous, we then PD $250 a day for 3 lounge chairs and an umbrella for the beach , I would assume when you advertise that the Hotel is on the beach you would at least get a complimentary chair or something. The rooms were so old and outdated, plugs did not work, we had to fight to open the balcony door, I mean the tiles were coming off from the balcony. NEVER again will we go to this Hotel . $40 a day for parking , $26 per person for breakfast , I mean for what we paid for this hotel we are so upset . "

"everything was great, they make sure that there's lots of things to do , 2 pools , kayaks and paddle boards, cabanas. all complimentary I was traveling with my son who is 8 and has a sensory issue. they have a big empty area away from the beach and all the activities, I seen people fishing down there the evening we arrived and the next morning. my son wanted to fish too, we walked over there and within minutes they came and shut us down and the reason was that the dnr and police had been around looking. I explained that we bought our fishing licences and we were good to go... but still madey son put the pole away.. we weren't bothering anyone and it became a huge deal for my son! all the employees were extremely helpful except the one girl riding around on the golf cart.. even though she was standing right in front of me she wanted to tell her staff to tell us we were breaking the rules. I even knew she was talking about my son crawling on the rocks!! she was rude to the staff she was supervising & in front of guests!! she's the one who made them come tell my son to stop fishing. other than that the place is great. very fancy! there was a family staying in the room upstairs from me who had way to many children and adults in the same room!! at least 8 kids. they were noisy all night long.. seemed like pretty much anything goes there just don't try to fish!!"
