"Fantastic, couldn’t have been more accommodating, stayed here as was competing in Scottish half marathon, house just across the road from finish line!! Also bus outside the house to head directly to Edinburgh where we enjoyed the Fringe festival. Alice went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic weekend, highly recommend."

"The breakfast was very good but the breakfast at the sister hotel a few doors down was a bit better, little classier with a large continental selection. The was clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. All of staff was very friendly and professional, they made some great recommendations for places to eat and things to see. The location was nice, it was a bit of walk to the castle but on the flip side you were not in the crowds."

"The rooms were small but adequate. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the choice at breakfast was good. There was a small amount of parking space at the front of the hotel. It stands at walking distance from the railway station but noise is NOT intrusive. There were a lot of stairs to the top floor of the hotel. "Lovely clean suite at the top of the house. Was a bit wary after reading some reviews but was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! Fab comfy bed, small kitchen with hob, microwave, tea/ coffee making facilities & supplies. Rainfall shower with plenty of hot water, great towels, toiletries provided. TV with lots of channels, only thing missing was a fridge. Would be great to have in Summer. Lots of stairs, no lift but I knew this prior to booking. Self check in without issue. Don't book if...

"Two live wasps were in the room. Owner offered a downgraded room that had toilet outside the room. We had paid for en suite so we refused his offer and he agreed to refund us the money we had paid. I’ve had to message the owner few times to take care of the refund but I haven’t had any update. I now have to deal with the hassle of reporting the matter to the platform to get my money back. This is a headache I could have done without so I could enjoy my holiday. "

"Great location to get into the centre of Edinburgh via a tram or bus, or to get to the cafes and pubs in The Shore area. The staff were friendly and informative. The parking was good and seemed to be ample places. The provision of complimentary drinks and snacks was a bonus. Will stay here again when we next visit Edinburgh."
