"Based on what I paid which was close to $150 a night I would have expected more modern room and a better breakfast buffet but otherwise the place was clean with friendly staff and located right on the beach. The step over from the tub shower to the floor is non-standard height (higher than normal) so be prepared if you have shorter legs or mobility issues. "

"We had a 2 bed villa with lounge pool and beach view. Lots of space and complimentary water and coke. The staff were fantastic and service excellent. We had occasion to contact reception and had someone to our room immediately. It was a little way out but taxis are easily available and good value. The breakfast was lovely though coffee slow in delivery. The restaurant was fabulous- beautiful setting and atmosphere- but not cheap. We would go back to this hotel."

Breakfast is generous and The Banquet and Bbq evenings are fantastic value (bbq includes a fireshow) The gardens are so beautiful and our pool villa was immaculate and regularly serviced. "We had an incredible experience with Anantara. From the cleanliness of the room, to the kidness of the staff (including a free upgrade to the pool villa room) we really enjoyed our stay. As a vegetarian, I was slightly nervous about the breakfast options, but there was so much available to us and the staff was really accompdating and let me know what else they could give us. If you dont mind walking, it is a 20min walk to Chaweng beach and night market which is also beautiful. I would reccomend it to those that want to have a perfect stay, not living in the hustle and bustle, but close enough that you can walk there/take a tuk tuk if needed. "
