Highly recommend this hotel. The property is tucked away in a quiet, charming neighborhood, offering a peaceful retreat while still being just a short walk from wonderful local restaurants and the historic old city sights. The rooms are comfortable and well cared for, and the atmosphere feels both welcoming and authentic. Mia is an exceptional hostess whose pride in the family inn is evident in every detail, from the way she shares stories of what was once her family home to the genuine care she shows her guests. Her warmth and hospitality make the stay feel less like a hotel visit and more like being welcomed into a family home.

The property is very nice, beautiful rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was great. The location is convenient and walkable distance to everything. The only thing to be aware of is lack of parking on site. We spent about 1 hour circling the city looking for parking; we found a parking but at the end were charged 90 euro for the less than 24 hours. Be aware, but this is not a reflection on the property. We would recommend it to family and friends, and would come back ourselves. Thank you!

Wonderful short stay!

We had a wonderful three night stay at Balatura. The hotel is a quick walk from old town but in such a quaint and quiet location. It is a small, family run hotel, which was great for us, as we were able to get quality rest without the noise of neighbors, music, doors slamming, etc. All of the staff was extremely kind and weren’t overbearing. Breakfast is ordered the day/evening before and while a small menu, worked out well for my wife and I. The parking is down a small side road in an open, gated lot. The hotel let us keep the key for the gate the entire stay. As a side note, paying for parking is separate and they only take cash - I had to go to the ATM during check out because we thought we could pay with card; not a big deal to us, as ATMs are close by. If we ever come back to Split, we will definitely stay here again!

Staff was very kind and helpful with everything. I would highly recommend this cute place to all. It was only an eight minute walk (if that) to old town so it was super convenient to all attractions. I can't say enough great things about Balatura!!!

Lina and all of her staff were very attentive. The property is very clean and our room was beautiful with all the amenities you need. Lina arranged our airport shuttle and our driver was very professional and on time. We highly recommend this property!

Lovely little B & B. Quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. Adequate breakfast. Spotless rooms. Just be aware there is no lift so stairs to climb which could be a problem if you have large suitcases or are elderly. It was a bit difficult to find, as you cannot be dropped at the door in a taxi/car. Again there are stairs to navigate from the street.

We loved our stay at the Balatura hotel! It was such a quaint hotel in a lovely building. Our room was lovely and very quiet which we liked. Would consider booking a room with a balcony which would have been nice. Staff were all very attentive and helpful! Mia was especially friendly and wonderful to meet. Breakfast which was included was excellent and we loved the little terrace where it was served. We also loved the location which was very convenient for walking to the Old Town and restaurants/sights. Only suggestions would be having an arrangement for a reduced price for parking for vehicles as we found this expensive. Also, perhaps a fan to circulate air in the breakfast area on very hot day would be nice (it was very hot during our stay). We highly recommended this hotel! Thanks for a great stay! Lack of guest care made us cross: * Safe was impossible and we were blamed for this * Complimentary bottle of wine meant we had to ask for it and not given one automatically. We then fought to be given two quarter bottles (not one quarter bottle as then offered) of what turned out to be undrinkable wine. We expected a normal sized bottle of drinkable wine, as per our hotel in Dubrovnik * We had to pre-order breakfast at a specified time, then we were presented with a cooked breakfast, the moment we sat down and not asked when we were ready

Everything has a feeling of quality. Location is good, on a quiet pedestrianised street about 10 minutes walk from the ferry port, front and old town. Our room was spacious and very nicely furnished with a comfortable bed, supportive pillows and plenty of room in the bathroom. All the staff were welcoming and very helpful too, particularly in helping to get my wife’s glasses mended. Breakfast is served outside in a garden room, which was a little chilly on the first day (there is an option to have breakfast in your room) and while the choice is not huge (understandable given there are only six rooms) the eggs and omelettes we had were beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. We had high expectations and were not disappointed.

A nice, petit bed and breakfast in an excellent location just steps from Diocletian's Palace. The property is well maintained. Very comfortable bed. Excellent service. Wonderful breakfast in the courtyard.

Clean and tidy room + premise. Great location, walkable to everything in Split but quiet as not right in the bustle of the old town. Lovely service from the ladies at the front desk. They allowed us to store our baggage after checkout which was very helpful. Would recommend.
