The property was very clean and comfortable. The porridge pots were welcome and also the pastries. Due to the unseasonal weather, the heating facilities were not available to improve the indoor temperature under these conditions, in our room at least.

Very confusing with the ‘old’ Hobbit web sites still online. New Hobbit has no restaurant or pub, though this was explained at final payment and full refund offered if this had mistakenly been expected. Also complementary croissants and instant porridge provided in the room, which I took advantage of. Overall a good stay if all you want is good, cosy room and take your own food and drink.

Another enjoyable stay at the New Hobbit. Like the self check- in as keeps things simple and convenient . Well presented and comfortable rooms. Staff really helpful and accommodating. Brought my dog with me too. He had a great stay also. Highly recommend. Thanks.

We have just spent two nights at this accommodation whilst in Halifax for a family event ,from the moment you arrive you are greeted by extremely friendly and helpful staff, The accommodation is excellent spotlessly clean with super shower facility ,comfortable beds, quality bed linen,lovely easy chair ,car parking in front of the properties, The area is very quiet and peaceful ,there are a few narrow lanes but lovely views from the property Anyone staying for a break will find all the information available in the room. The breakfast treats were a lovely treat .Hobbit really is a little Gem .

My favourite hotel in Calderdale. Have been back several times. Lovely peaceful, rural location with easy access to Sowerby Bridge. Pet friendly, so an added bonus. An ideal place to relax and unwind. Helpful staff as always.Will recommend to friends and family.

The rooms are well kept and up to date. I didn’t realize the bar/restaurant ant wasn’t opened which was a disappointment. However, the room was comfortable and the porridge came in handy for dinner :-)

I had a lovely one night stay here at the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room as well as the facilities, for the price I paid. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was really nice, and the little breakfast selection was a fab touch. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

We stayed one night while visit family in the local area. Everything was as promised. Room was spacious and warm with a very comfortable bed. We were warned there was no staffed reception or restaurant so we were pleasantly surprised to find a porridge pot and croissant in the room for breakfast. It is a short drive out of Sowerby Bridge along narrow lanes, which was not a problem for us. We were happy to stay in and catch up with six nations rugby!
