"From the outside it's an old motor lodge. But the room was completely redone. Very comfortable room. Relatively quiet with it being right on the highway. Very reasonable price. Give it a try."

"Walden Retreats was a most enjoyable stay! I will definitely be back. The room was clean and well equipped. The staff was professional and courteous. My only recommendation would be to have more than one cart to drive up the hill. Beautiful views!"

"A small, quite, old fashioned hotel....clearly well taken care of considering it's age...simple, clean, was honestly like staying at my grandma's in 1996. Some people like fancy ammenities and modern updates, if it's not broken, why are we fixing it? Basic and extremely clean. "

"Very unique stay in Fredericksburg. Wonderful location near almost every winery we wanted to see from the rhino, signor, and slate theory, all within 5min. Francisco was very knowledgeable and the Israeli wines and the great stories of the holy land vineyards. Would recommend this stay and enjoying the wine tastings at the cellar at least once."
