The Walnut Tree Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This was my third time staying at the hotel. It’s a good location with good links to Bridgewater, Western super mare and Taunton. Plenty of parking. The restaurant services a good selection of high quality food with plenty of choices as well as bar with an excellent selection of ales and ciders. The accessible rooms are a good size. Room 16 has a wet room with shower. There is only a hand rail. There is no shower seat and the toilet does not have any grab rails. The staff are very helpful and attentive. It was good to see the same staff as our previous stays last year. Looking forward to returning in the future."

"Perfect central location for visiting Langport in this historic hotel. Nice shops and cafes nearby. An excellent location for walks across the Somerset Levels or canoeing on the River Parrott. Lovely helpful staff, we had a very relaxing stay here. Thank you"

"Exceptional stay , staff were delightful and very helpful & supportive. Breakfast & evening dinner were incredible , perfectly cooked eggs at breakie and fabulous quality of food for both supper and breakfast - definitely recommend. We had a balcony room which was beautiful , overlooking the cricket pitch and was thing horses and tractors come passed, love it."

"We stayed for 2 nights in the family room which had a lovely comfortable king size bed, ensuite with large walk in shower and air con which was a God send. Very clean and quiet. The staff are lovely, food and drinks reasonably priced, breakfast choices good. The beer garden needs some attention but is secure if you have children or a dog. Steep stairs to the rooms which were a bit difficult with our elderly dog but over all a great stay. Please note, although very dog friendly they do charge £15 per night for your dog."

"Overall was an amazing place to visit. We had booked the suites which were fantastic. Shocked to hear place was 9 years old. Felt much younger. Suites private garden was nice, however slightly shocked could not fully use main spa amenities. The biggest down side for us was the bed which we had in the lavender suite. It was awful, very slanted and first night I did not sleep well. Was informed next morning could only rotate the bed. Which staff to there credit did do, however once again issues which suggests to me underlying bed frame was issue. Resulted in two poor quality nights of sleep sadly and similar for my partner which was a big shame given the price point and expectations this is a retreat where good sleep is of paramount importance. Outside of that. We had a fantastic time and the location and scenery was superb."
