"When our initial room didn't have much of a window, the staff was very helpful and quickly switched us to an available room with a balcony for a nominal fee. The place has a cool retro beach-motel vibe, which some may enjoy more than others but we liked. Despite the meh weather, the attached pub was pretty lively for dinner with a nice outside seating area and I'm sure that during the summer the whole place and attached small beach are very lively. We enjoyed our one-night stay and may return...

"When you first pull up to the Whitman you might think, "uh-oh" because the exterior and the reception lobby leave a lot to be desired BUT don't let that fool you, this is an excellent and fairly inexpensive motel/hotel for 1 or 2 nights. "Great place, staff, clean environment full breakfast. Light sleepers will have issues if they happen to wake up at night due to noises from the highway behind the hotel. I will recommend thins place for travelers."

"I was able to extend my room stay for a couple of hrs more, for a small fee. The Continental bkfst is adequate. I have used Laquinta many times now. And this is my favorite place to lodge while on short business or personal stays!!!"

"This was my second time staying at the Holiday Inn Long Island-Islip Arpt East by IHG. Each time I visit I always felt right at home. The staff is amazing and all that you need is right there. I needed assistance with printing some very important documents and Devin was very helpful. He was very friendly and made me feel safe as if I were talking to a family member. Each time I visit Long Island Holiday Inn Long Island-Islip Arpt East by IHG will be my number one pick. Thank you!"

"Would not stay there again. They charge to park $15 a night, in a parking lot that is shared by another hotel and two restaurants. There are signs posted all around that state that you are parking at your own risk. There were very limited amenities in the room, no coffee packets one day and then only decaf coffee packets in the room another day. Overall it was not a great stay. Would not recommend."

"The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We booked a suite and it was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very nice. The pool was disappointing. It was unclean and there were hairs and bugs floating in it. The pool water actually looked stagnant, so maybe the filter wasn't working. The pool walls and floor were filthy. We were so grossed out that we couldn't even use it. The air conditioner in our room wouldn't not get cold even after setting it to 60. Check in and check out were easy...
