Hotel Dekat Smith College Museum of Art

"Water leak caused water to be shut off during the night. We were told they were waiting for maintenance to come in at 8:30 am. No showers, no toilets, no sense of urgency from the staff. TV barely functioned. Not the first time we've experienced this at this hotel in the past year. We were told the problem would be addressed but clearly that was lip service. Rethinking using this hotel on our periodic trips in the future. No offer of a discount or credit on a future stay."

"No tv, no internet and no pool made for a very tough 4 night stay with two kids. Every hotel close was sold out so we couldn’t even leave."

"The room smelled like the air conditioner filter had never been changed. The shower curtain bottom was sopped with water. The carpet was covered in debris. The television didn’t work. The nightstand lamp didn’t work and the desk lamp was missing a bulb. The window blinds were covered in filth. It was really bad."

"They have an onsite gym but it doesn’t open until 8am, so wasn’t able to access it before leaving for work commitments. Breakfast was the low point, pretty greasy and unappetizing. Nowhere to sit even if the table were unoccupied as they were so sticky and dirty. The rest of the hotel was spotless so it was a little surprising. Rooms are clean and spacious. Overall good experience."

"Everything was moist. Felt like I was in a moldy room there was so much moisture on everything! Staff was helpful thpugh not enough people. Location is terrible with poorly signed entrances. Wifi was useless and towels were scratchy. The worst hotel experience I ever had."

"The sink in bathroom was clogged and the tub the cleaning lady took the towels and didn't replace the my mom 78 yrs old and the floor in the bathroom was wet no towels and slipped Harriblre expirense"

"We were in town to see a sick relative and this hotel was not only convenient to get to but the parking was superb- there was coffee available 24/7 and the daily breakfast was outstanding! Always delicious muffins-and not with the fake fruit that is sometimes used in hotels! The hot tub was amazing although the pool was cold! The staff were friendly and welcoming! The bed was very comfortable and room was nicely decorated!"

"We spent the night after a wedding in nearby Northampton. It was a lovely place to return to at the end of a long day. We enjoyed our breakfast the following morning, both the buffet selections (especially the coffee cake muffins) as well as our conversation with staff member Kristen. We always try to support small businesses in the places where we travel and the Dasniel Stebbins House did not disappoint!"

"This hotel is in a great location. The staff was nice and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. Quiet location even though it’s on the main road. There was a nice pool and small gym area and a cute outdoor sitting space that was enjoyable in the later evening. A small bar/breakfast area if you needed it. Great hotel for a night or two."

"For a contactless check-in method, the staff were very accessible -easy to communicate with; the method was great. The room was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent. I met the owners and staff the morning after I checked in (late @ 11:45pm). They couldn't have been more hospitable. I stayed at the Walnut Inn out of necessity, attending a friend's father's funeral, and the Inn could not have been a better place for me to stay. "Requested a quiet room and the request was honored. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast buffet was very good. We needed a bit later check-out time and that was provided. Lots of parking. Did not use the amenities."
