Didn’t love the barn style bathroom door. I would prefer a door with a lock when staying with other people. Rooms are very dim with little light. Parking is limited so you have to carry your luggage up stairs to the additional parking in the back."

"Stayed for 2 nights here with a family of four on the 2nd floor..Not a bad experience. The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was clean. Not many special amenities besides AC, microwave, coffee maker, wifi, ice machine, but acceptable overall. The only minor complaint is the parking but it wasn't a terrible situation. "The room floor was dirty from spilled coffee, the refrigerator (it was a cooler, not a refrigerator) was broken, and the drain was clogged. Of course, they came and fixed the drain, but still. I paid almost $400 a day, which is expensive even at $100. I couldn't understand why this hotel has such good reviews."

"We had a marvelous room with character, overlooking the beach and wharf in santa cruz. The bed was extremely comfortable, though the pillows were a little weird. There was a HUGE tv screen in the room, plus microwave, fridge and coffee maker. The room also came with a huge shower and beautifully renovated bathroom and a private balcony. "Very nice staff I will say but I can’t lie whatever you paid for the room (especially during peak season) it should probably be less. The room was pretty tore up and the tv didn’t even have a remote. The shower drain cover was falling off and a lot of the furniture was ripped. The floors felt kinda greasy and grimy and the towels were super thin. But at least the sheets were clean, bed was comfy, easy parking, & they don’t price gouge as much as some of these other spots. "The space was well maintained and comfortable. However, the pillows were too stiff and the air conditioner did not work well. Additionally, it was a challenge to log into the wifi service. For my purpose on this trip, Seaside was adequate, but I may stay elsewhere if my situation is different on a future trip."
